Terms of service

Who you are buying from

Roughly Right is a brand of Clearline Group, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. You can reach a real person at hello@clearlinegroup.ca.

What you are buying

Everything sold here is a digital file. A spreadsheet or a PDF. There is nothing physical, nothing is posted to you, and there is no subscription. You pay once and the file is yours.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank does the conversion and may add its own fee, which we do not see and do not receive.

How you get it

The download link appears on screen the moment payment goes through, and it is also emailed to the address you used at checkout. If neither happens, email us and we will send it directly. That is not a favour, it is what you paid for.

Free samples are delivered the same way and cost nothing. You can unsubscribe from the emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every one, and doing so does not take away any file you already have.

What you may do with the files

Use them yourself, as much as you like. Print them. Put them on as many of your own devices as you want. Show them to the people you live with.

Please do not resell them, give them away publicly, upload them to file sharing sites, or repackage them as your own. They took a long time to make and that is how this stays viable.

What these files are not

Everything sold here is for general information and entertainment. It is not professional advice and no professional relationship is created by buying it.

The money tools are arithmetic, not financial advice. They do not know your situation. They cannot see your credit file, your lender, or your circumstances, and they are not a substitute for talking to a licensed financial advisor or a non profit credit counsellor.

The movement tools are general fitness material, not medical advice. If you have a heart, joint, back or blood pressure condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from an injury or surgery, talk to your doctor before starting. Stop if something hurts.

Every file states its own assumptions and where it will be wrong. Those notes are part of the product, not fine print, and they are worth reading.

Refunds

14 days, no questions asked, and you keep the file. The full terms are on the refund policy page.

Where we are limited

We do everything we reasonably can to make these files correct and useful. We cannot promise a particular financial or physical result, because that depends on you and on circumstances neither of us controls. You act on what is in these files at your own discretion and risk. If something we sold you causes a loss, our responsibility is limited to refunding what you paid us for it. Nothing here removes any right you have under Canadian consumer protection law.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Changes apply from the day they are posted and do not apply retroactively to something you already bought.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the laws of Canada that apply in it.
